Whether this is your first birth or you’ve done it before, you can feel confident & prepared.

Hey, I’m Laura Wood, your virtual doula & prenatal movement coach.

I’ve worked with hundreds of expectant mamas all over the world for over 15 years now to feel stronger and more empowered as they prepare for birth.

Movement was a powerful tool for me during both my pregnancies and labour and I’ve seen first hand how movement can move us out of powerlessness, fear and anxiety and into confidence, strength & wholeness.

I’ve taken all that I’ve learned and put it together in a step-by-step program that will show you how you can support yourself and actually work with your body for a smoother, easier birth.

So grateful to have reached out to her!

What you need to know before getting started

+ Do I need any special equipment?

Although a few classes use props such as stability/birth ball and weights, I give options in case you don’t have them on hand. Most of the props will be things you can find around the house like pillows, blankets and cans of soup.

+ I haven’t done yoga or pilates before. Is this still for me?

Absolutely. As long as your care provider has cleared you for exercise, these classes will be appropriate regardless of previous experience. Options will be given during classes to simplify or challenge yourself even more.

+ Life is busy these days and I find it hard to fit in movement. Do I need to follow a specific plan or go at my own pace?

The classes in this series were designed to be short and accessible so you can easily fit them into your life. The group coaching calls and Voxer support provide you with accountability and structure.

+ When are the group coaching calls and what happens if I can't make it?

The group calls are Wednesday June 21, July 5 and a partner workshop on July 19, 7pm EST. If you are unable to make the live calls, you will have life-time access to all of the coaching call recordings.

+If i’m dealing with pain or Pregnancy issues such as Diastasis Recti/Pelvic floor issues is this still safe for me?

You should always check with your care provider before starting a new movement practice, but these classes were developed to support women dealing with these issues as well. Options and modifications will be given throughout the classes and you can always reach out with specific questions if you’re unsure.

+ I'm planning on having a doula present or taking another birth prep course, is it still worthwhile doing this series?

I truly feel the movement based approach to birth preparation that this series provides will help you develop trust, awareness and connection with your body that you most likely won't get in other birth prep classes and would be a great compliment to working with a doula.

+ I'm planning to have an epidural for my birth, is the content ni this series still applicable

Absolutely! I want to support you through your birth regardless of what it looks like. You need just as many tools to help you stay calm and present AND there is so much you can to encourage a smoother birth even if you've had an epidural.
